The All
Progressive Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, is mourning, as it has lost
a council chairman to stroke, and blamed the government for not coming
to the victim’s
aid.Mr.
Shedrack Gajere, who was the APC party chairman for Lamurde, died while
awaiting the constitution of caretaker committee, for the local
councils in the state.
The Secretary of the APC in the local government,
Mr.Lawson N. Ignatius, was the one disclosed Gajere’s demise to newsmen.Gajere
according to him, died while recuperating from stroke, which saw the
deceased hospitalised at the state specialist hospital Yola.
“The cold hands of
death has finally snatched away our chairman Mr. Shedrack Gajere, who,
until his demise was the chairman of the All Progressive
Congress,
Lamurde local government council. Burial arrangement has been fixed for
this weekend. We urge you all to pray for the repose of his soul, and
that his legacy as a loyal member of the party, who laboured to entrench
firmly, the APC in Lamurde will continue to endure,” Ignatius said.
